Facetune 2 ...Why not just update Facetune??

So we paid for the Facetune app. $3.99 if my memory serves me right, now instead of updating all the improvements to the app youve made a #2 and expect us to purchase that again or get a monthly subscription?
I would call that double dipping... or even a bit of thieving.

If Im wrong, please help me understand whats going on here.
